Chartfield’s Got Talent: Friday 17th March
Auditions have been taking place in school.
Mrs Brown will find some “freeze-dried critters” for I’m A Year 6… The tickets sales are unconfirmed at this point; Miss Shipley will inform Mrs Brown early next week, so that the correct amount of hot dogs, drinks, etc. can be purchased for the interval.
Votes will cost 20p as in previous events (the PTFA took £600 at last year’s show). Chartfield’s Got Talent is always a good fundraiser for the PTFA.
Unfortunately, Mrs Garland will be unable to attend. Plans for a staff entry will continue, however.
Mrs Malone and Ms Dyett have offered to help setting up on the day.
A raffle was suggested. The Committee will contribute the prizes.
Any other business:
The school may have some request for assistance from the PTFA in the near future. These include:
- Support in sending the Reception children to the Forest School, once a week for ten weeks.
- Aid in providing new textbooks for the school, in music, for example.
Mrs Garland offered her time for an adult Yoga evening, with a £10 entry contribution per person being donated to the PTFA. It was suggested that this take place during the next half term (following the Easter break).
An Auction of Promises is, likewise, planned for early in the Summer Term. Ms Dyett informed the Committee that she receive a 10% discount from the Co-op, should this be required.
Mrs Brown suggested holding a regular tuck shop in aid of the PTFA. Including healthy foods, such as fruit, was suggested in addition to chocolate.
Mrs Calcutt intends to plan a second Treasure Hunt over the Easter holiday, and it was suggested that this might take place during the Summer Term on this occasion.
Miss Forsdike has spoken to the local food bank regarding the donation of excess Easter eggs. She will send a note for parents to Miss Shipley for distribution, offering parents the option to do so as individuals and not as part of a school campaign.
The next meeting is to be confirmed.
