The minutes from the previous meeting were agreed by the committee.
Miss Shipley informed us that Mr and Mrs Yiang have kindly donated £500 towards the playground refurb. We are now £3,500 short and this is owed to Mrs Neale, as she kindly leant the school the £4,000 shortfall. The work has been put on hold until June due to problems agreeing a date with the company.
The Fair will go ahead on Sunday 8th July 2018.
This will be held on Friday 29th June 2018. Bacon rolls and sausage baps will be supplied by the PTFA to sell in the break.
This will be held on Wednesday 11th July 2018.
As it is Chartfield’s 90th year, the school would like to commemorate this occasion with a fundraising event with a theme to make the school reaching its 90th year. The staff suggested a 1920’s themed evening with a meal and entertainment. The committee agreed to ask parents for suggestions for this, as previous evenings have been poorly attended in the past for such events. It was suggested rather than hold this event near Christmas, a summer time event would work better. A non-uniform day was suggested at a cost of £2.50 per child to include a hot dog.
Miss Shipley asked for volunteers for the new intake day on 13th June – Mrs Milham, Miss Marchant and Mrs Marchant will kindly do this.
A huge thank you to Miss Havercroft for running our second-hand uniform. An equally large thank you to Miss Marchant for agreeing to take over from now on.
The meeting ended at 8.15 p.m.
The next meeting was scheduled for Wednesday 13th June, 7pm at school.
