Christmas Fair – Saturday 28th November
The Christmas Fair will take place on Saturday 28th November, between 11am and 1pm. We have decided that entrance will be £1 for adults, for which you will get a cup of tea and a mince pie, and 50p for children soft drink and a biscuit.
The choir are going to sing. Books of raffle tickets have gone out to families.
Mrs Calcutt has organised Father Christmas again this year; Miss Shipley to provide the rocking chair and reindeer skin.
We will have a ‘Name the Bear’ competition. We will also have ‘Pick a Number’ for a £25 M&S voucher, and also for a £25 Smyths voucher. There will also be a numbers board, £2 per go, with a first prize of £50, and two second prizes at £25 each. Other stalls will be:

If the weather is good, Smash the Crockery (Mr Brown will manage the stall) will take place outside and well as Hook the Duck.
Rota for selling raffle tickets: Mr Wenn (Tuesday morning), Mrs Milham and Miss Stacey (Wednesday morning), Miss Stacey (Friday morning), Mrs Calcutt (each morning); Mrs Horsley (Tuesday and Thursday afternoons).
Will has agreed to take photographs. Nicole Milham will also be asked if she can help.
Mrs Horsley has offered face paints. Mrs Garland thinks she has sponges.
Mrs Komolangan will get the tickets for the Lucky Dip.
Miss Shipley will source presents from Santa, whilst Miss Stacey will bring lights. Mrs Taylor will provide Christmas CDs.
It has been decided that the PTFA will be at school at 10am on the day of the Fair to set up. Ms Calcutt will set up the tombola on the Friday evening. Mrs Milham willing to help that day, too.
Christmas Shop for Children – week commencing 23rd November 2015
It was decided to run a Christmas shop and wrapping service for the children this year. Miss Stacey has agreed to look for gifts, wrapping paper and labels.
Christmas Party – Friday 4th December
The plan for the Christmas Party is to have an entertainer or disco for children. Will was asked to look online for information about a two-hour disco for 64 children. Discos are normally around £60.
Needed for the Christmas Party:
– Will has agreed to bake cakes. Miss Stacey will also provide cakes.
– Also needed are pizzas, cocktail sausages, sausage rolls, cheese balls, cucumber sticks, carrot sticks, chocolate fingers and squash.
The helpers for the party will be Miss Stacey, Mrs Taylor, Mrs Malone and Mrs Horsley.
Any other business
Will informed the committee that to this point, The Giving Machine has generated a total of £351.64 – broken down by 472 donations through 22 givers – towards the PTFA.
The next meeting was scheduled for Wednesday 13th January 2015, 7.30pm at school.
